Timeless Vienna

This past month the topic of our photo walk was “1010 in Black & White”, which refers to the first district of Vienna, its historic centre and beating heart, depicted in black and white. Exploring the Volksgarten, Hofburg, Minoritenkirche, Mölker Steig and Mölker Bastei we captured what countless photographers had done, throughout the decades, before us: the utterly timeless beauty of Vienna.

Photo Contest – the Results

The theme given to our participants was “1010 in Black & White”, and the participants were asked to submit photos taken during out August 2016 photo walk, in black and white.

I am very pleased to announce our winners:

1st Place goes to VPW-newbie Nico Kaiser, 2nd and 3rd Place to Nico Kaiser and Carrie Borden, and 3rd Place to yours truly. These two really dominated our contest, producing some beautiful work. Here are the walk’s best photographs, as voted by the members of VPW in our anonymously-posted photo contest:

A big thank you to all the members who joined us for the photo walk, those who entered our photo contest, and all the members of VPW who took the time to vote for their favourites!

Stay tuned for the in-depth interview with our winner, Nico Kaiser, and see you at our next photo walk!
